FIELD OF MEMBERSHIP

  • Employees of the Department of Human Services and Rehabilitation for the Blind who work in the State of Mississippi;
  • Persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in the underserved areas of the City of Jackson, Mississippi (an undeserved community as defined in Chapter 3, Section III and in accordance with Chapter 2, Section V of the NCUA Chartering and FOM Manual, App. 10/25/01); {See Image Below for Detailed Area}
  • Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union; employees of this credit union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment or from companies previously named; members of their immediate family or household and organizations of such persons.

NEW ACCOUNT PROCEDURES

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Along with your membership application, please email a copy of your driver’s license and a secondary form of identification to mark@msdhsfcu.com or gloria@msdhsfcu.com.

PAYROLL DEDUCTION AUTHORIZATION

If you are employed by the Mississippi Department of Human Services and would like to participate in their Payroll Deduction program, please complete this form and return it to us. All payroll deductions are deposited into your account on the 1st and the 16th of each month.

Due to the announcement of federal stimulus funds, the Credit Union phone lines are very busy, causing long wait times. We apologize for that and encourage you to access your information through our website or the mobile app to see your stimulus funds' status. Please know that your stimulus payment will be available to you the moment that the Federal Government changes the status – we wish we could control that, but we are not able to. As soon as the Government changes the funds from “Pending” to “Available” on your account, the funds will be available for your use. We appreciate your business and understanding on this matter. Please remain careful and safe during these difficult times. You are the best credit union members in the world, and we look forward to serving you in the future.
